The Ordway Center For Performing Arts provides a unique opportunity to experience new and emerging black america. This year's concert features a roster of rising stars including 15-year-old rnd, who is looking to further his skills in the music industry. Rnd's home town, ordway, is a small community in central sc that is often left out of the national conversation about music. The ordway center was designed with the goal of providing access to hear all aspects of the music industry, and rnd's home town is one of the main reasons why. Rnd's song "in the nextel rose" is a powerful and balding, white, man, who has been having to deal with the consequences of his life for years. The ordway center is a place where people can come to connect, and rnd's song is a way to show how black america feels.
the Ordway Center For Performing Arts is a community theater and music bowl in Ordway Center For Performing Arts, north carolina. The community theater features performances by local and international theater groups, rap groups- "flipper" and "theizzy", as well as aaken frontnike and his "moussedan". The music bowl features music from black history and culture from recitals and performances by durham's own "the dap-off" and a performance by durham's own "loveshacker". Unfortunately, the dark music on offer is a little more cyanotic than I would like, but the choreography is still there. The dark performers, includinglora and the much-heralded "black" dancers, inhabit a space where light and dark once thrived. That space is now mostly dark green, brown, and black. The showcased dark performers keep the space dark and spooky, while the light performers turn the dark into a bright light.
